Terms & Conditions

House Online is a property marketplace that connects property owners, real estate agents, companies, hotels and accommodation providers with property seekers across Uganda.

We provide a platform for property discovery and communication. We are not a party to any transaction between users.

Users of House Online must:

• Provide accurate, current and complete information.
• Maintain the security of their account credentials.
• Use the platform responsibly and in accordance with these Terms.

We support two types of accounts: Individual Accounts and Company Accounts.

Property owners are solely responsible for:

• Accurate property information.
• Genuine photos of the property.
• Correct pricing.
• Accurate contact details.

The following are strictly prohibited:

• Fake listings.
• Misleading information.
• Stolen or copyrighted photos.
• Fraudulent activity.
• Duplicate or spam listings.

House Online may, at its sole discretion, review, approve, reject, request additional information about, or remove any listing.

Approval of a listing does not guarantee the accuracy or legitimacy of the information provided.

Verification helps improve trust on the platform but is not a guarantee of legitimacy.

Users should always conduct their own due diligence before making payments or entering into any agreement.

House Online does not own, sell, rent, manage or broker any property listed on the platform.

Any agreement relating to rentals, property sales, land sales, hotel bookings, Airbnb bookings or commercial property transactions is solely between the parties involved.

House Online is not responsible for any disputes arising from such transactions.

Users may report fake listings, misleading information, fraudulent activity or inappropriate content.

House Online reserves the right to suspend listings, remove listings, suspend accounts, or permanently ban users when platform rules are violated.

Users retain ownership of the photos, logos and descriptions they upload.

By uploading content, users grant House Online a non-exclusive license to display and promote that content on and through the platform.

Property owners are responsible for keeping their listing status up to date. Statuses may include: Available, Reserved, Under Offer, Sold, Rented, Occupied, or Fully Booked.

House Online does not guarantee the continued availability of any property.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, House Online shall not be liable for:

• Property disputes.
• Financial losses.
• Fraud committed by users.
• Misrepresentation by property owners.
• Failed transactions.
• Booking disputes.
• Property condition issues.

Users use the platform entirely at their own risk.

House Online may suspend or terminate accounts that violate platform rules, commit fraud, impersonate another person or business, or otherwise misuse the platform.

House Online may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
